Regulatory Genomics, Systems Biology, and Reverse Engineering of Biological Systems (DREAM)

Call for papers, abstracts and challenge submissions for:
     RECOMB Systems Biology
     RECOMB Regulatory Genomics
     DREAM Reverse Engineering Challenges
     RICCI Cancer Informatics Symposium

We would like to welcome you to register for one of the premier annual meetings in Regulatory Genomics, Systems Biology, and Reverse Engineering of Biological Systems (DREAM), held for the first time in Europe this year, together with RICCI Symposium on Cancer Informatics.

The joint meeting will be held on October 14-19 in Barcelona, Spain, starting on Friday October 14th at 9am and finishing on Wednesday October 19 at 5pm. For more information on the program, please visit:http://recomb-dream2011.org/

Invited speakers: This year, we have an outstanding line-up including: Scott Armstrong, Ewan Birney, Andrea Califano, Raymond Cho, Eileen Furlong, Barry Honig, Manolis Kellis, Edda Klipp, Rune Linding, Núria López-Bigas, Franziska Michor, Dana Pe'er, Sylvia Plevritis, Jonathan Pritchard, Julio Sáez-Rodríguez, Luis Serrano, Alex Stark, Gary Stormo, Gustavo Stolovitzky, Alfonso Valencia, and Dennis Vitkup.

Submission is now open for:
(1) Full-length papers, to be reviewed by Genome Research (GR) of the Journal for Computational Biology (JCB), together with our program committee. Submission deadline: Friday July 15, 2011 at 11:59pm Pacific Time (PT).
(2) One-page abstracts of previously unpublished work, to be reviewed by the conference chairs and selected for either oral or poster presentation. Submission deadline: Monday August 1st, 2011 at 11:59pm PT.
(3) One-page abstracts of high-impact papers published or accepted between March 1st and August 1st 2011, to be presented by a corresponding author. These will be reviewed by the conference chairs and considered for only oral presentations. Deadline: Monday August 1st at 11:59pm PT.
(4) Prediction Submissions for reverse engineering challenges on alternative splicing, parameter estimation in gene regulatory networks, and gene expression prediction. Best performers will be selected for oral presentations. Deadline for prediction submission is Monday Aug 22nd 2011.

All accepted papers will be published online in the respective journal in coordination with the conference and will be guaranteed an oral presentation. All abstracts will be included in the abstract book to be distributed to all participants at the four conferences, and will be treated as personal communications. Notification of decisions will be sent on Thursday September 15.
