The Physical Cell: In search of the design principles of life

Our aim is to bring together physicists and biologists working on quantitative aspects of cell biology, multicellular systems, development and evolution. We would like to facilitate a true dialogue between experimentalists and modellers, who will speak on related subjects in five broadly themed sessions:

- Space and Time

- Symmetries

- Growth and Form

- Chance and Control

- Evolution

There will be contributed talks, poster sessions and panel discussions. The participation of young researchers is strongly encouraged and we expect to be able to offer bursaries to students from Europe and travel grants to researchers from developing countries.
